Take M4 west. Go to Junction 49. Continue on M4 to next roundabout.
Continue on M4 (A48) and exit on turning marked Porthryd and Nantgaredig and also marked in brown 'The National Botanic Garden of Wales'. This is 80 miles from the new Severn Bridge.
Take signs to Nantgaredig, go past Botanic Gardens entrance and Y Polyn restaurant, and when you come to a T turn right and then immediately left. Cross Nantgaredig Bridge. This is the bottom of the beat.
Continue to T and turn right onto A40. Go a couple of miles into Pontargothi.
For Fishing Lodge - Turn right immediately after bridge before Cothi Bridge Hotel. Continue past Abercothi House for ½ mile down land to Abercothi Farm. The Fishing Lodge is on your left.

2010 Season - 24 Aug. About thirty fish caught the last couple of days including 10 salmon on the back end of recent rains. 11lbs salmon caught on Escarpment Pool of the Cothi and 11.5lbs sewin from Goilan Pool on the Towy. A nice lot of fish, both salmon and sewin, around and fishing well.
The total approaching 300 sewin and about two dozen salmon. Most returned. Golden Grove has had similar numbers too.
2009 Season - See website for Abercothi catch records. 424 sewin landed, including eight of ten pounds or more, and 46 salmon.
