Directions:
Take M4 west.
Go to Junction 49. Continue on M4 to next roundabout.
Continue on M4 (A48) and exit on turning marked Porthryd and
Nantgaredig and also marked in brown 'The National Botanic
Garden of Wales'. This is 80 miles from the new Severn Bridge.
Take signs to Nantgaredig, go past Botanic Gardens entrance
and Y Polyn restaurant, and when you come to a T turn right
and then immediately left. Cross Nantgaredig Bridge. This
is the bottom of the beat.
Continue to T and turn right onto A40. Go a couple of miles
into Pontargothi.
For Fishing Lodge - Turn right immediately after bridge before
Cothi Bridge Hotel. Continue past Abercothi House for ½
mile down land to Abercothi Farm. The Fishing Lodge is on
your left.

2008 Season - 30 June. 100 fish to date. About 12 sewin caught over the weekend, up to 6lbs. One caught during the day and others at night. The Cothi fishing very well indeed with good numbers of fish in most main pools and the main Towy just becoming clear enough to fish properly now at night. Lots of shoal fish now in aswell as some larger ones. Fresh fish coming in daily. Also a monster sewin of 15lbs 6oz landed on Golden Grove on Monday 30 June.
Abercothi 2007 Season - see Website for detailed catches. 367 sewin in total including 41 over 5lbs. Largest 16lbs. Over 50% returned. Also 64 salmon.
